ABSTRACT
The Fonds Eugenio Barba includes letters, documents, articles and working drafts created by Eugenio Barba or kept by him. The material contents regard his work as a director and scholar, his correspondence, the history of his family and Jerzy Grotowski's theatre. The binder contains articles and documents which were in Eugenio Barba's possession concerning Jerzy Grotowski, Polish theatre groups, the first articles by and interviews with Eugenio Barba about Grotowski and about Barba's experiences while he was in Poland. The binder contains articles about and by Grotowski, dated from 1960 to 1999, collected by and in the possession of Eugenio Barba. Photocopy of a letter dated Warsaw 2003 from the Polish film director Andrzej Wajda to the scholar Zbigniew Osinski on the occasion of Eugenio Barba's honorary doctorate from the University of Warsaw. Eugenio Barba had asked his actors how they envisaged their future and what they would like to do most, a practice he also adopted on later occasions.
