This afterword suggests that the digital age reflects a paradigmatic shift in our communication environment. The defining characteristic of that new paradigm is the endless proliferation of digital content, which has been fueled by changes in the production, format, and circulation of information. Reflecting on the specific character of these changes, the afterword highlights the themes and issues raised by the individual contributors and how they advance our understanding of digital rhetoric. It ends with a call for scholars of digital rhetoric to attend carefully to the evolving ways that digital content is created, functions, and flows.
