ABSTRACT
One of the most debated topics in sport in general and in basketball in particular is “How do we develop coaches” and “How do basketball coaches learn – what are the best methods and ways to acquire knowledge?” The “Coaching and basketball coach education” chapter provides a discussion based around such topics and also on methods and ways which will help basketball coaches learn and develop. Formal learning, informal learning, reflection and mentoring are all explored as part of the chapter.
