ABSTRACT

The Storyteller is often the role to which most organisations will pay attention when attempting to boost engagement levels. Engagement tends to be the responsibility of the communication or human resources department in many large organisations – hence this focus. The result is a great deal of emphasis on communication competencies and approaches. This is not a bad situation if it applies to the organisation within which you work, because it should mean that resources and development are abundant. If this is the case, there is no excuse for a manager not to be an outstanding Storyteller.
