ABSTRACT

Today, distributed simulation and team training systems have started to appear and can in the near future be a valuable tool in education. The availability and interactive nature of distributed microworlds simulation provides a good medium for students to experience the complexity and dynamics of collaborative work. One important advantage in using computer-based simulation in team training is the possibility to monitor all computer-mediated collaboration. The monitored data can be processed and automatically analyzed in a monitoring tool. The monitoring tool can help the training manager supervise the students so a training goal can be achieved.
