ABSTRACT
Giuseppe Alberigo (b. 1926) was Professor of Church History at the university of Bologna (Italy). He is secretary of the Institute of Religious Sciences and editor of the quarterly Cristianesimo nella Storia. As editor of the Conciliorum Oecumenicorum Decreta he is a noted authority in this area. His many works include La Réception de Vatican II (Cerf, Paris, 1985, with J.-P. Jossua).
