ABSTRACT
The question posed to Frank Michelman in this book concerns the possibility of articulating a logic of constitutionalism or constitutional law that is insulated from the concerns of political theory. The question concerns, in other words, the possibility of a pure theory of constitutional law (reine Verfassungslehre) à la Kelsen.
