ABSTRACT
Corruption prevention systems are some of the least understood and least frequently evaluated programmes in contemporary government. As effective assessment is critical to the future of integrity programmes, this comparative chapter provides an overview of methods and solutions used in countries to assess the effectiveness of their pro-integrity and anti-corruption programmes. It is not meant to be an exhaustive analysis, but rather to review strengths and weaknesses of assessment methods and conditions for their success. This chapter also lists measures that work well, and vulnerabilities of existing prevention programmes resulting from assessment.
