ABSTRACT
Introduction: Migration The phenomenon of migration has previously been studied in terms of the migrants’ adaptation to new social and cultural environments. These studies have focused on migrants’ individual psychology or on their psychological adaptation to new socio-cultural settings, mainly, for example, through education, or migrants’ political movement towards acquiring citizenship. Studies of ethnic groups, especially the second generation migrants downward within the USA represent this type of approach.
