The Search Order is effective in the UK and many Commonwealth countries. It is a powerful remedy to fraud, IP theft and other wrongdoing, providing the legal right for the aggrieved party’s lawyers and agents to access and search the records and computers of the alleged wrongdoer, even where these are located in private premises.
