ABSTRACT

Change communication is important because if organisations do not get it right, their change projects do not work. Around 70 per cent of change programmes fail (Salem, 2008: 334) and poor internal communication is seen as the principal reason for such failure (Murdoch, 1997 cited by Daly et al., 2003: 153). Largescale change programmes, such as restructuring, often leave organisations in turmoil (Johansson and Heide, 2008: 289).
