ABSTRACT
The vast majority of the published works on crusade and conversion in the Baltic region are written in languages other than English, predominantly in German, with a great deal in Baltic, Scandinavian, Slavic and Finnish languages; it would be difficult to accommodate any representative selection in the space available in the present work. The aim of this bibliography, therefore, is to bring together the main works that will prove accessible and useful to the English-speaking reader, the emphasis being on publications appearing between the years 1945 and 2000. Essays in the present volume are included in the listing.
