ABSTRACT
Podcasting is a form of distribution of sound recordings over the internet. Whilst many audio-files are now called ‘podcasts’ by their creators, a podcast is generally understood to mean an audio-file with an RSS feed aĴached (RSS feeds are discussed in Chapter 1). The existence of the RSS feed means that podcasts can be picked up by RSS readers. We mention a few websites that are podcast directories, and at core all these do is display RSS feeds for audiofiles.
