ABSTRACT

Successful Enterprise 2.0 projects oĞen combine various tools, data services and applications, joined together by shared protocols and ‘signals’ such as RSS and Atom generated from enterprise-or market-based networks (which notify users when information of interest to them has been published/updated). This means they are generally cheaper, more adaptable and lower risk than existing enterprise systems, as they do not depend upon a single overarching platform, that is, it is possible to cherry pick elements of the system, integrating or replacing them with other tools without having to dispose of the whole system.
