ABSTRACT

Among the leading figures in the emergence of what is called “Analytical Thomism,” we must certainly count the late G. E. M. Anscombe.1 But when we rummage through her publications for her writings on Thomas, we are met with something of a surprise. As far as I can ascertain, there is only a single piece, her “Necessity and Truth.”2 It is very short, and in fact most of it is a criticism.
