ABSTRACT

Thus, to draw is to perceive, and perceptive activities, according to Piaget (2001), are progressively developed. In the case of the perception of reality, in order to make a drawing, the logicmathematical notions act as abstract operations, not simply of perceived objects, but also of those actions performed on them. The individual’s perception, under this aspect, is conditional to the medium. Piaget (2001) considers as crucial the role of perception in intellectual evolution, which depends on the figurative aspect of the knowledge about the real, whereas actions transform what is real, deriving operations in the course of interiorization and structuration.
