ABSTRACT

After the research carried out in the frame of the Arqui-Hábitat project, in this communication we present the results of the analysis of the two traditional urban areas in the El Khorbat locality. Constructed with earthen architecture, and in two different periods, the use of the rammed earth constructive technique has remained almost invariably until the second half of the 20th century. Not so its morphology, which has been adapting and evolving over time. Through the formal and constructive analysis of both urban models, we will draw conclusions regarding the factors that influenced their construction and development.
