ABSTRACT
One of the avowed objects in fixing maximum prices is to limit profits; on the other hand some profit must be allowed to the dealers and entrepreneurs, or they will go out of business. Therefore some examination of the meaning of the term profits and of the difficulties encoun tered in attempting to determine what is a reasonable profit seems desirable at this point.
