ABSTRACT
These men assume as many airs as their Hindu brethren, refusing to wash clothes belonging to the Chamár, Mihtar, Dôm, or Pa_tni, and giving over to the Hindustani or Kho]n_ta washerman the cleansing of the Chha_thi, or puerperal, garments, and declining to touch bedding on which any one has died.
