ABSTRACT
Although not the first to do so, I want to help the
reader understand the term ‘inclusion’ by introducing
it through the metaphor of a journey. Twenty years ago
Baroness Warnock elegantly stated,
If I am to walk along a road, I need shoes; but there
are those who need a wheelchair, or a pair of
crutches, or a guide dog, or other things beside.
