ABSTRACT

In today’s increasingly technological society, great advances in computers and other mechanical devices have assisted individuals with disabilities to better integrate into society. A multitude of new available devices have given individuals added mobility, increased their communication access, and enabled them to receive instruction through computers. In this current information age, resources, research, and consultations can be obtained through on-line resources. Though these new prospects are exciting and the potential is enormous, the use of technology has not yet significantly improved the lives of most individuals with mental retardation around the world.
