ABSTRACT

Browser, FAQ, HTML, URL, Login, and surfing the web are all terms that had no meaning to psychology teachers as little as 10 years ago. Now almost all teachers in higher education (and secondary schools) are intimately aware of them. The World Wide Web (WWW) has seen remarkable growth, even for technology, in the last 10 years. In fact, in 1990, there was no such thing as the WWW. In a few short years, there has been an explosion of Web development in our culture. Business, entertainment, and education have seen unprecedented growth in Web information. A major economic indicator is the amount of sales on the Web. Many TV, magazine, and radio commercials refer to Web sites. The WWW has quickly taken its place in modern man’s arsenal of technological tools along with the telephone, the TV, and the computer.
