ABSTRACT

David Magnusson has provided singularly creative and historically influential scholarly and professional leadership in facilitating and integrating the research and applied activities of psychologists from across the world. Magnusson’s theoretical formulations and research programs have emphasized the important role of context in human behavior and development (Magnusson, 1981, 1988, 1996a; Magnusson & Stattin, 1998). His intellectual vision includes a compelling conceptual rationale and substantive basis for internationally contextualized, comparative scholarship (Magnusson, in press-a; Magnusson & Allen, 1983; Magnusson & Stattin, 1998).
