Researching in Cooperative Education: How a Practitioner Met the Challenge
ByChris Eames
Pages 24

This is the story of my induction into the world of research in cooperative education, or work-integrated learning. Like many practitioners, I was involved in running a successful cooperative education (co-op) program. I had plenty of ideas and anecdotal evidence for what went right in our program, but I had some questions too, about why and how it worked. This chapter describes the steps I went through to begin my first research project in cooperative education, raises some of the issues to consider, and presents a short case study from my project.
