ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION A number of congenital malformations that are associated with hydrocephalus have been discussed in other chapters, e.g., aqueductal stenosis, Chiari malformations, arachnoid cysts, and craniosynostosis and will not be discussed further here. This chapter will concentrate on the less-common congenital malformations resulting in hydrocephalus, such as the DandyWalker malformation, encephalocele, agenesis of the corpus callosum, hydranencephaly, and holoprosencephaly.
