ABSTRACT
Clinical research has contributed a great deal of information to the understanding of hydrocephalus and its management. In a few areas, prospective clinical studies have been performed to address specific questions. In order to review these, a “clinical trial” has been defined as a study with (a) prospective multicenter data collection, (b) a specific outcome of interest, and (c) in children.
