but mechanisms remain poorly understood. ■ While most women will present with typical chest discomfort and accompanying symptoms, cli-
nicians should be alert to atypical symptom constellations among women (and men), interpret symptoms in the context of the overall risk profile, and follow up with appropriate diagnostic testing.
