Prospective Studies of Endemic Waterborne Disease in Developing Countries

From a global perspective, waterborne disease is one of the major health problems in the developing world, especially for young children. Developing countries often have poor water supplies and limited resources for water treatment and distribution. This situation is aggravated by concurrent problems with inadequate sanitation that result in fecal contamination of surface-and groundwater.
