ABSTRACT

The purpose of this chapter is to provide the reader with examples of different species of Anthocoridae that are known to occur in managed ecosystems. Only a small percentage of the described species is thus far known in this regard. Selected references to each species are included to provide further information. The interested reader should be able to identify which species may be useful in any particular situation. There are surely local species as yet poorly known that may have similar habits and be adapted to local conditions. There is much to learn about the role and position of these small predators in managed agroecosystems.
