ABSTRACT
As natural products chemists, we are actively engaged in the synthesis of biologically active agrochemicals and pharmaceuticals as well as the isolation of new compounds. Since other participants in this symposium have included our preparation of various antifungal agents in their presentations, we have decided to present the following three facets of our research program: the modification of plant growth regulatory agents, efforts directed towards the synthesis of duclauxin, and the synthesis of three diterpene quinone pigments.
