ABSTRACT
An exact description of the molecular structure of H2O in all its condensed states illustrates its diversity and its many subtleties (Finney, 2004), but for purposes of establishing and validating the role of water in life processes, the simplied but well-known Bjerrum model (Bjerrum, 1952) will sufce. It is shown in Figure 2.1.
