ABSTRACT
All professionals working in radiotherapy departments have experienced a basic training program before they are allowed to start with actual patient treatment. In principle, the level and content of the training program of the treatment team should be appropriate for the type of treatments performed in that particular institute. However, primary training programs are generally designed at the local or national level and may not always include the latest technological developments, or may not always be very relevant to the clinical practice in a specic institution.
