ABSTRACT
This chapter is intended to provide the reader with an overview of drug-drug and drug-nutrient interactions. The goal is to assist the clinician to develop skills to prevent the occurrence of a future interaction. This chapter will examine the mechanisms of drug-nutrient and drug-drug interactions and describe some of the pitfalls when assumptions are made in vitro and correlated to in vivo reactions.
