The content of the condition investigation must be such that set goals are met. Generally, a condition investigation is made to determine the remaining service life of examined structures, their need of repair and safety. To achieve that, the investigation must reveal any damage to structures and defects in their performance. This requires determining the existence of damage, its extent, location, degree, impacts and future propagation by damage types.
