ABSTRACT

The article presents ergonomic analysis of a selected production line from the perspective of possibility of employing disabled persons , and offers improvement plan. Preliminary research was based on a control list filled in by a manager and on a guided interview with production line labourers . The primary aim of the control list and interview was determining to which disorders particular work stations can be adjusted. In the proper research body position assumed by a worker and problems resulting from poor adjustment of a workstation equipment were evaluated. Also the freedom of movements as well as the seat, physical load and psychical load were evaluated. The attained information enabled identifying barriers that would hinder employment of the disabled, after that preliminary plan of a production line providing for the basic needs of the disabled workers was developed. In case of employing a specific person with particular dysfunctions it will be necessary to adjust the workstation to the person ' s individual physical abilities.
