ABSTRACT
One of the goals of frailty modeling is to study the properties of the frailty distribution and the baseline hazard function in models describing real survival data. Such analysis is possible if the distribution of frailty as well as the age trajectory of the underlying hazard can be reconstructed (identied) from survival data.
