ABSTRACT

REAL-WORLD INTEGRATION Wavelet transform is increasingly being used in place of short-time Fourier transform in various signal processing applications such as time-frequency analysis, data compression, denoising, and signal classication. While short-time Fourier transform deploys a xed window length for all frequencies, wavelet transform deploys varying window lengths for dierent frequencies where lower frequencies are captured via larger window lengths and higher frequencies are captured via smaller window lengths.
