ABSTRACT
Techniques in studying plant and secondary metabolites encompass plant tissue culture, chemistry of natural products and molecular biology. These are very vast fields and it is not possible to describe all the techniques in one chapter. Hence, emphasis is mainly given here to the techniques essential for general study of secondary metabolites in plant tissue culture. For specific groups of compounds more specialized books should be consulted.
