ABSTRACT

This publication, Fire Effects on Soils and Restoration Strategies, provides a global view of current knowledge of fire effects on soil and potential mitigation of those effects for use by scientists, policy-makers, land managers, and students. This final chapter will summarize the collected expertise of the contributing authors, and identify the themes that link the chapters within each sectionSection I: Fire Effects on Soil (Chapters 2 to 9); Section II: Rehabilitation and Restoration Strategies (Chapters 10 to 14); and Section III: Regional Strategies (Chapters 15 to 20).
