ABSTRACT

Decision making and action to implement the decision are fundamental to our civilization and industrial economy. Group decision making and team interaction further advance them by processes of collaboration. But how does collaboration impact the quality of decisions, and what is the role of cultural factors in the collaboration process? Is the impact always positive, and what are its dimensions? The objective of this chapter is to attempt to answer these questions in the context of c-work by reviewing the area of c-work, measuring the impacts of cultural factors, providing examples of impacts by cultural factors, and discussing implications, challenges, and emerging trends.
