ABSTRACT
This entry gives an overview of the optical nonlinear properties of III–V compounds. These properties can serve as applied objectives. The conjunction of the properties of III–V semiconductors and the use of microresonators may be used in a variety of applications. The development of second-order nonlinearities promises to expand the variety of potential applications.
