ABSTRACT
Rainfall accumulation in a cylindrical container is recorded according to the elevation of a float. When the cylinder is full, a siphon starts and quickly empties it. The movements of the float are recorded on a paper-covered drum rotating at constant speed, and produce the graph line of the readout. (Fig. 8.2).
