ABSTRACT
Charles and his sister, Kathy, live in an inner-city apartment, living only three blocks from their school. Because they reside in a high crime area, they must walk through two gang turfs, an illegal drug sales market, and a group of prostitutes every day. To say the least, they are apprehensive about their safety. Several of their friends have been mugged. Charles and Katie are always concerned and sometimes frightened. ey are very careful every day.
