ABSTRACT
It is well known that every country applies extensive and rigid regulations over cosmetics and drugs, imposed by correspondent government agencies. In contrast, despite the strong controversy caused since this new concept was proposed, there is still no of’cial recognition or legal regulation. A legal framework is mandatory because cosmeceuticals are the fastest growing segment of the natural personal care industry (Draelos, 2008).
