Undoubtedly the most important federal statute for law enforcement regarding runaway and missing children is the National Child Search Assistance Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 5780). Due to its signiªcance and federally mandated context to responding and investigating runaway and missing children, the state requirements (42 U.S.C 5780) are o˜ered here in their entirety.
