ABSTRACT
Supply chain technology capabilities are essential in implementing IT projects. When these are absent in our own or in a key trading partner organization, adjustments have to be made. A process from a Boston Consulting Group consultant has 12 steps to reduce technology risk. Other insights are provided by defining three types of information technology (function, network, and enterprise) and listing common applications that fall into these categories.
