ABSTRACT
The “cause” and the “vision” are needed to provide direction and sense of purpose to the supply chain continuous improvement effort. For the authors, the cause was the prospect of a failing business enterprise. The vision can come from many sources like SCOR, lean, Six Sigma, and benchmarking.
