ABSTRACT
The entry describes the current state of the electronic marketplace. These include independent trading exchanges (ITX), private trading exchanges (PTX), and Consortia Trading Exchanges (CTX). ITXs can be vertical focusing on an industry or horizontal providing services to a number of industries.
