ABSTRACT

The remainder of this paper is organized as follows: First, we outline the problems that this article attempts to address in Section 2.3. The aliasing error in shadow mapping is discussed from a mathematical perspective in Section 2.4. In Section 2.5 we describe how we measure aliasing in our model. As a direct application of this model, Section 2.6 illustrates and analyzes the aliasing

distributions in a few representative shadow map techniques. A corollary, Section 2.7, explains why a stronger warping strength may not always give an improved shadow quality.
