ABSTRACT
The overall purpose of this chapter is to describe the procedures that were followed to check the validity of the data. A secondary purpose is to discuss the concepts of validity and reliability as it is generally used in social science research. Finally, this chapter examines the methods that qualitative researchers employ to ensure the data is valid and trustworthy.
